Are you a qualified interpreter?

The Community Interpreting Service (CIS) is an internal council department that provides:

- Solutions to the linguistic needs of public services and their clients
- A reliable, confidential and impartial service
- Trained and accredited interpreters and translators in more than 60 languages
- BSL (British Sign Language) Interpreting

We are looking for qualified interpreters (minimum Community Interpreting Level 3) to join our excellent team providing interpreting and translation services to public services in Medway and across Kent via face-to-face meetings, or remotely via phone or video link.

The role incurs an hourly rate for interpreting and travel, accrued holiday pay, opportunity for continued professional development and access to local government pension and benefit schemes.

The successful post holder will be subject to a Standard DBS check.
