Community Safety Officer

£29,696 to £32,957 per annum (Grade 8)

37 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual looking for a challenging role as Community Safety Officer for Runnymede Borough Council.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of Community Safety, both locally and nationally and an understanding of the responsibilities of the Council. You will also possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written as the role will require the development of close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Police.

About You

You will need to be able to work with members of the public in resolving challenging situations, therefore experience of working in a customer facing environment is essential along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and diplomatic.

The successful candidate will be required to represent the Council at relevant meetings so the ability to write and present reports utilising good and effective computer skills is essential. You should have the ability to work well on your own initiative and have excellent organisational skills to plan your workload and meet deadlines.

Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and will need to hold a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle ensured for business use.
