
Construction Manager
We are recruiting a Construction Manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Caerphilly Homes are looking for a skilled Construction Manager with experience of working in a housing, regeneration or construction related environment. Tasked with delivering 1000 new, low carbon, affordable homes by 2033 this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving and passionate team.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of matrix,managing multiple construction projects using a recognised project management approach. You must also have knowledge of governance, procurement, contract management and financial systems and procedures.
The Construction Manager will work alongside appointed contractors to ensure the Council's interests are protected and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- Minimum of a Level 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW). For example, Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Planning, Building Control, Engineering or another related discipline.
- NEC4 Accreditation.
- Excellent understanding of the contribution good quality, affordable homes make towards tackling poverty; improving health and wellbeing; social care, education and regeneration.
- Full UK Category B driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough and beyond to attend meetings with consultants / developers and visit sites.
