We are recruiting a Contracts Manager at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Penallta House

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £51,356 - £54,495 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The postholder will lead the strategic oversight and delivery of Caerphilly Council’s long-term supply partner contract for building materials and services. The role will help shape contract management strategies, driving stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective risk and performance management.

Working across the Council, the postholder will champion the adoption of standardised practices, foster innovation, and support continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policy, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and performance monitoring.

The postholder will require strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in public sector procurement and contract management.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Contract Management, Level 5 ILM.
  • The ability to lead and support a team of Contract Management Professionals.
  • Experience within a Contract Management environment of a large organisation.
