Rushmoor Borough Council and Hart District Council have entered into a Corporate Health & Safety resource sharing Partnership. To support this work we are looking for a part time Corporate Health & Safety Assistant for a period of two years to work closely with the Service Manager for Risk, Resilience & Procurement at Rushmoor BC, providing support across both Councils.

You will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing health and safety advice/guidance and carrying out risk assessments, ideally in a related industry with a similar risk profile or a similar related field. Applicants must hold an IOSH Managing Safely qualification and be working towards or be an existing holder of the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational

Health and Safety.

You will be highly organised, enthusiastic, have a good eye for detail and be able to act on your own initiative. You will be able to prioritise a busy workload; adapting quickly to situations as they arise. The role involves working across two Council’s and where necessary externally with key partners, so great interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Although the role will report to the Service Manager for Risk, Resilience and Procurement at Rushmoor BC as the employing authority, the role will allocate time equally between the partner organisations.

This is a part time role and there is some flexibility in the days and hours in which it is delivered, if within normal office hours (Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4:40pm). We would be open to discuss this at interview and we can be flexible with those that have childcare and other commitments. The role will however require regular attendance at the Council Offices in Farnborough and Fleet. Hybrid/home working may be supported where it meets the needs of the Council, but the role is predominately office based.

If you are interested in applying for this role please do so online or provide a copy of your CV and a covering letter detailing why you are suitable by the closing date, 23rd November 2025.

Interviews will be held on the 8th/9th December 2025.

Interested in finding out more? Please contact either Roger Sanders, Service Manager for Risk, Resilience & Procurement on 01252 398809 or 01252 398008.
