Cover Supervisor
Contract Hours: 37 hours per week / 38 weeks per year
Salary: Scale 4, Point 7 - 10 (FTE: £30,285-£31,610 / Actual £25,447-£26,560 per annum)
Contract Term: Permanent, Part term
Start Date: 2nd March 2026
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our cover supervisor team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students in achieving their full potential by creating a calm and productive learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor you will:
- Provide cover for absent teachers by delivering pre-set work to students in the classroom, monitoring work and behaviour during the lesson and reporting on progress and other relevant issues.
- The post holder will cover absences due to short term sickness, professional development, performance management, student/parent meetings and other short-term, agreed absence.
- Accompany groups of students on school trips under the direction of teaching staff and help ensure the health and safety of those students.
- Provide support to teaching staff in the classroom so that teaching staff can undertake individual/small group teaching or other related tasks as appropriate. If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting young people, we would love to hear from you.

Salary range
- £25,447 - £31,610 per year
