Working pattern: Mainly office-based due to frontline duties

We are looking for a caring, motivated and experienced manager to join our Crisis & Resilience Fund service. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead an important frontline service that helps residents at difficult times, making sure support is delivered fairly, promptly and with compassion.

You will be joining a small, friendly and supportive team where your ideas, leadership and expertise will really matter. This is a role where you can make a big impact on the lives of our residents, helping shape a service that supports people through crisis while promoting longer-term resilience and stability.

We are looking for someone with experience of, assessing and processing Discretionary Housing Payment applications, knowledge of welfare benefits and related discretionary support. You will need strong decision-making skills, sound judgement, and the ability to lead a team that delivers high-quality, consistent and resident-focused outcomes.

This role is mainly office based due to the frontline nature of the service. Regular office presence is important to support day-to-day operations, provide visible leadership to the team, respond to urgent issues and help ensure residents receive a responsive and effective service.
