Highbury School is an outstanding generic specialist school for pupils aged 4-11, including learners who have additional needs such as ASD, SLD, PMLD and SEMH. Judged ‘outstanding’ at our last inspection in July 2024, we are all committed to ensuring that our practice continues to move forward.
Our classes are organised according to pupil need and ability. We are looking to appoint a teacher to teach in one of our needs-based classes. Details of our curriculum pathways are our school website.

• Have a good understanding of how to teach and promote receptive and expressive language.
• Have strong leadership skills that support to manage team and delegate effectively.
• Be confident and have child centred behaviour management skills that focus on proactive strategies and align with our key values that children do well if they can.
We can offer:

At Highbury School we take our Safeguarding responsibilities very seriously. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. All candidates are expected to have read the Schools’ safeguarding policy and have a sound understanding of ‘Keeping children safe in education 2026’.
Interested applicants should explore the school website and Facebook page and are welcome to phone the school to speak with a member of the senior leadership team by prior arrangement. Visits to the school can be arranged by contacting the school.
