Keeping custody safe, secure and protecting welfare.
We’re looking for motivated, resilient team members to join Derbyshire Constabulary as Custody Detention Officers (CDO’s).
This isn’t your typical role, shifts can be long and demanding and you’ll face some tough situations, dealing with people who may be distressed, under the influence or confrontational. Which is where your professionalism, composure and teamwork come in.
You’ll also support people at their most vulnerable, offering reassurance, empathy and care when it matters. From booking individuals into custody to safeguarding their wellbeing, you’ll play a crucial role in protecting dignity and ensuring safety!
You will need to have
- Experience of dealing with people in difficult or confrontational circumstances
- Great communication skills to allow you to talk to all and adapt if needed
- The ability to work within a team
Salary range: £25,626 - £31,296 plus 20% shift allowance and weekend working enhancement.
This could make an additional £6000 - £10000 per annum.
