An opportunity to join our support team

We are looking for a reliable, accurate and organised Data Processor to join our school support team.

This is a practical role for someone who enjoys working methodically and takes pride in getting things right. You will be responsible for entering and updating student and assessment information within departmental trackers and school systems, ensuring that information is accurate, complete and up to date.

The role would suit someone who is comfortable working independently, following established processes and undertaking routine and repetitive tasks with a consistently high level of accuracy.

About the role

Working closely with teaching and administrative colleagues, you will:

  • Accurately input student and assessment data into spreadsheets, trackers and other school systems.
  • Update records promptly and ensure information is entered correctly.
  • Check data for obvious errors, omissions or inconsistencies and raise queries where necessary.
  • Work systematically through allocated tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Liaise with colleagues when information needs to be clarified.
  • Keep track of completed work and identify any outstanding information.
  • Provide routine data support to departments as required.
  • Handle student and school information with appropriate confidentiality and care.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Accurate and pays close attention to detail.
  • Methodical and able to follow clear processes and instructions.
  • Consistent when undertaking routine and repetitive work.
  • Reliable and able to complete tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Organised and able to manage their own workload.
  • IT confident, with experience of using spreadsheets and computerised systems.
  • Discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Responsive, with the confidence to ask questions where information is unclear or incomplete.

Previous experience of data entry or administrative work would be useful, although it is not essential. Experience of working with spreadsheets, databases or school information systems would also be advantageous.

Why work with us?

At The Hayfield School, we believe that every member of our support team plays an important part in helping the school run effectively to support our students.

You will work independently in a friendly and professional school environment. The role offers the opportunity to develop your experience of working with data and school systems while making a practical contribution to the work of the school.

Staff wellbeing matters to us. Ofsted also recognised that leaders consider the impact of decisions on staff wellbeing and that staff feel valued in their roles.

You will also benefit from:

  • Employee wellbeing support and benefits package, including a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering counselling services and wellbeing support.
  • Westfield Health Plan, supporting you with a range of everyday healthcare costs such as physiotherapy, optical, dental and chiropody.
  • Access to GP telephone appointments at home and abroad 364 days per year.
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Blue Light Card membership available, giving you access to hundreds of discounts and savings across shopping, travel, leisure and more (small membership fee payable by the employee).
  • EV Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Free on-site parking.
