    The postholder will provide a consistent, high-quality, customer-focused delivery and collection service for libraries, museums, community hubs, and associated traded services.

    This will involve transporting a wide range of resources, including books, furniture, shelving, salvage, and other equipment, across West and North Northamptonshire, ensuring that teams are effectively supported in delivering their services.

    A Full clean UK driving licence is required.

    What will you be doing?

    You will be committed to delivering an excellent customer experience by providing high standards of customer service at all times. Also being responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of resources, operating a van in line with Road Traffic Act regulations and following planned schedules as well as responding to ad hoc requests.

    The role includes carrying out daily vehicle checks, maintenance, cleaning, and refuelling in accordance with council procedures. In addition, the postholder will support all aspects of loading, unloading, and warehousing of service and supplier resources.

    You will ensure the van is operated safely in all conditions and will adhere to all relevant processes, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate manager.
