Democratic Services and Scrutiny Officer
We are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our small but dynamic Democratic Services Team which provides governance support to a wide range of Committees, Boards and Panels as well as working closely with Councillors and Senior Officers.
You will play a significant role in supporting the Council's overview and scrutiny function, including providing advice and guidance to both internal and external colleagues, undertaking associated research, preparing reports and coordinating work programmes.
We are looking for someone who has:
With the ability to use initiative and experience of using IT systems you will also help us develop our digital agenda, particularly in relation to the modernisation and digitalisation of governance processes. Experience of Mod Gov would be beneficial.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
