We are looking for a Deputy Company Secretary to play a leading role in supporting and deputising for the Group Company Secretary/Director of Governance in providing the full range of company secretarial support to the Board, its committees and subsidiaries and to ensure that the L&Q Group continues to take a robust approach to corporate governance through the delivery of exceptional administrative and secretarial services. The postholder will lead a team of 4 governance officers.
The post holder will specifically be responsible for the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Compliance Oversight (SMF 16) and Money Laundering Reporting requirements (SMF 17) in respect of L&Q’s consumer credit activities. They will also act as the L&Q’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer ensuring compliance with HMRC’s regulatory requirements.
As well as demonstrable board or committee experience the person appointed will:
- Have experience in both FCA and Anti Money Laundering reporting requirements
- Have excellent diplomacy, communication and influencing skills
- Be customer focused
- Be result and solution orientated
Have excellent organisation and planning skills being able to deal with a complex workload of conflicting priorities
