Langtons Infant School and Nursery is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Deputy Head Teacher to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of a school that is proud of its strong ethos, high expectations and commitment to continuous improvement.

In June 2023, Ofsted noted that:
Leaders have high expectations for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They encourage pupils to aim high and to do their best. As a result, pupils engage positively in learning and are motivated to explore new things.

We are looking for a leader who can:
    • Drive excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum implementation
    • Lead with clarity, purpose and emotional intelligence
    • Strengthen our provision for early reading, early years and SEND
    • Use data and evidence to inform decision-making
    • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external partners
    • Champion a culture of high aspiration and positive behaviour

You will be joining a school where:
    • The curriculum is thoughtfully designed and continually evolving
    • Staff work collaboratively and support one another
    • Pupils are motivated, well-behaved and eager to learn
    • Leaders are committed to staff wellbeing and a manageable workload
    • Parents value the school’s communication, care and support
    • Governors support the leaders effectively and champion the work of the school.

This role is ideal for an experienced leader ready for the next step and to widen their experience.

Visits are welcomed and prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the school office on 01708 447866 to arrange a visit.

Pupils are proud of their school…Many parents shared the view that the school goes above and beyond in helping their families. Ofsted 2023
