- L11 to L16. Up to £75,049 dependent on experience
- 40 hours per week (some flexibility required)

As Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic vision for teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will lead the continuous improvement of educational provision, ensuring that every child and young person experiences high-quality teaching, makes excellent progress and achieves their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about educational excellence and has a proven track record of improving teaching and learning outcomes. You will be the school's lead professional for Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Curriculum, driving high standards, innovation and evidence-informed practice across all subject areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and develop the school's Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Curriculum strategy.
• Drive school improvement through rigorous quality assurance.
• Lead on curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.
• Monitor, evaluate and improve pupil progress and attainment.
• Line manage and develop middle leaders and core subject teachers.
• Lead and coordinate CPD, coaching and induction programmes.
• Champion evidence-informed teaching approaches.
• Contribute to school self-evaluation, development planning and inspection readiness.
• Lead whole-school initiatives relating to teaching, learning, curriculum innovation and assessment.
• Chair and lead staff training and subject leadership meetings.
• Work collaboratively with families, external agencies and wider stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
• Strong track record of leading improvements in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum.
• Passionate about securing exceptional outcomes for children and young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH with anxiety and mental health needs, and Speech, Language and Communication needs.
• Significant experience of leading, coaching and developing staff.
• Deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment and evidence-informed pedagogy.
• Experience of school self-evaluation and improvement planning.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Degree qualification.
• Successful senior leadership experience.
• Significant experience of leading Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Curriculum initiatives.
• Demonstrable secondary teaching experience, preferably with Autistic and SEMH pupils.
• Experience of leading and developing staff.
• Experience of curriculum development and assessment leadership.
• Strong data analysis skills.
