Due to promotion to headship of our previous post holder we are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Head responsibility for Inclusive Teaching, adaptive learning and development

This is a pivotal Federation-wide role for a leader who believes that great teaching, strong inclusion and empowered staff change lives.

About the Role

Working closely with the Heads of each school, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a Federation-wide Teaching and Learning Strategy
  • Champion adaptive teaching, inclusion and high expectations for every learner
  • Embed instructional coaching and high-quality professional development
  • Strengthen SEND, behaviour and inclusive practice, working alongside the SENCo to ensure excellent provision and statutory compliance
  • Enable senior leaders to focus on school improvement and financial recovery
  • Empower staff, build leadership capacity and nurture a positive, collaborative culture

This role is ideal for a leader who combines strategic clarity with warmth, humour and humanity someone who understands that our people are our greatest strength.

About You

You will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of teaching, learning and inclusion
  • An experienced leader with a track record of improving outcomes for all pupils, including those with SEND
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring and developing others
  • Values-driven, emotionally intelligent and resilient
  • Someone who brings professional credibility, approachability and a sense of humour

The Head Teacher team are looking to recruit an inspirational and dynamic member of the team who will work across the Federation. The post holder will not have class responsibility however, may be expected to cover absence or other release time.

The Federation of Towers Schools comprises of an Infant school and Junior school, situated on the same site that are formally joined together in a successful and happy partnership. Our oversubscribed three form entry schools include an amazing nursery, where places are in high demand.

Interviews will consist of a range of assessment tasks but two we wish candidates to know of are; presentation, and a 'fish bowl exercise'

Salary range

  • £50,000 - £74,999 per year
