FIG Grade C: Salary £42,641 per annum rising to £45,744 per annum for applicants with 5+ years’ experience.
The Opportunity: The Education Department is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Deputy Special Education Needs Coordinator (Deputy SENCo) to start in September 2026. The Deputy SENCo supports the SENCo to direct and support provision and intervention strategies within the 3 – 16 age range in the Falkland Islands’ Schools.
Essential criteria: Applicants must be qualified teachers (recognisable in United Kingdom) who have preferably completed or are working towards the National Award for SEN Co-ordination, who have at least 3 years’ teaching experience and recent experience as a middle leader with whole school responsibilities in a United Kingdom or a British curriculum school.
Contract Type: This is a permanent post on standard FIG terms and conditions
