
Deputy Technical Manager- BEAM

We are looking for someone like you to join our team at BEAM, where you'll have the opportunity to work across our whole programme of events.
What will you be doing?
- Manage the-day-to day delivery of BEAMs cultural programme, including live performance, cinema and community events.
- Support the Technical Manager to ensure all visiting productions, hires and events are adequately staffed and resourced.
- To support the Technical Manager in training and developing staff skills and experience, to create a ‘can do’ work culture delivering first-class production values, in a safe and professional manner.

About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Outstanding organisation skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience of technical theatre, lighting and sound management across a range of live events, broadcasts and, ideally, cinema.
- Experience of working in a technical team within an arts or cultural setting.
- Ability to read lighting, sound and stage design plans.
- Comfortable with a range of technical theatre software and hardware including Digico digital sound desks, ETC Eos family lighting desks, CAD software, Q-lab, moving lights, etc.
- Up to date knowledge of Technical Theatre risk assessments and Health and Safety issues.

Salary range
- £35,163 - £38,009 per year
