
Deputyship Assistant
We are recruiting a Deputyship Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Tredomen / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

We are seeking a Deputyship Assistant, with experience of managing personal finances, to assist safeguarding finances of vulnerable adults who lack ability to do so themselves.
The Deputyship Team safeguard vulnerable individuals from financial abuse. providing day to day management and oversight of their finances. working as part of a team to ensure service is provided in line with court orders.
The successful candidate will be part of a team, managing a dedicated caseload, the team works in an agile manner and has access to flexible working, office cover is on a rota basis.
You will be provided with necessary training in the dedicated IT databases, banking systems and benefits system. Basic maths and literacy skills as well as ability to communicate with range of people are essential.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C or a relevant Level 2 qualification. For example NVQ Level 2 in Finance or Administration. or equivalent Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework.
- Relevant knowledge of financial administration gained within Local Government or other appropriate organisation.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit clients in the community and attend meetings.
