Are you ready to lead transformative housing projects that deliver real social impact?

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Development Manager to drive forward our Strategic Projects and Affordable Homes Programme. This is your opportunity to shape the future of housing in our borough delivering high-quality developments that support our community and align with our Borough Plan.

You will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in delivering complex construction and regeneration projects from concept to completion. You will oversee feasibility studies, investment approvals, procurement, statutory consents, and on-site delivery, along with:

Delivering multi-million-pound affordable housing and regeneration schemes
Driving strategic partnerships and negotiating development deals
Managing programme governance, risk, and performance metrics
Securing funding and ensuring financial viability across all projects
Deputising for the Head of Development when required

To be competent in this role it is essential that you have proven experience managing large-scale property development and regeneration projects, along with having:

Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams and Tier 1/2 contractors
Expertise in public sector procurement and land disposal processes
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A proactive, collaborative approach to cross-Council working
A degree-level qualification in construction or equivalent experience
A valid UK driving licence

Desirable qualifications include RICS, CIOB, or RIBA membership and experience in delivering schemes over £10M.
