Contract Type: FTC till September 2026 – Full Time – 37.50 hours per week.
Location: Reporting office Stratford, London - (Must be flexible to travel to developments)
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)
Salary: £59,042 - £65,225 (London) based on experience plus enhanced car allowance.
Grade: 10

Join our Regeneration Team at L&Q:
We are looking a Development Manager to join our Regeneration team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced development sector professional seeking to advance their career.
The posts report into the Head of Development and Regeneration. Your role will be to project manage L&Q’s interests in joint venture and regeneration housing development schemes from acquisition and practical completion. You may also lead on legacy regeneration schemes, where defect rectification works are being undertaken. As such, will have a thorough understanding of housing development, project management and awareness of statutory legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills and experience:
We are also looking for someone with excellent communication, networking and stakeholder management skills. The role requires you to work effectively with internal stakeholder teams such as Sales, PRS, Finance, and Housing Management – and external consultants, contractors and development partners. As Development Manager in the Regeneration team, you will also be expected to be able to communicate respectfully with residents and work to engage communities alongside our Communities team and the L&Q Foundation.

Yourimpact in the role:
- The ability to successfully lead a project team of a wide and sometimes competing range of internal and external stakeholders who won’t report directly to you. Your active relationship management and leadership skills are essential as well as ability to communicate in writing and face-to-face.
- Accuracy of financial reporting and business plan management. The ability to respond to unplanned demands or situation is essential.
- Attention to detail when it comes to identifying and managing opportunity and risk. You are driven to try and ensure your projects outperform their agreed targets even in challenging environments.
- Negotiating the best possible outcomes for L&Q, even where there may be gaps in contract documentation or requests internally for changes post contract award.
- Knowledge of build contract law, particularly development agreements, build contracts and joint venture agreements.
