Dewis Coordinator
We are recruiting a DEWIS Coordinator at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Various Locations across the Borough
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Childrens Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The post holder will be a key member of the Social Services, Information, Advice and Assistance Team and will contribute to the effective operation of the Service by leading on the development and management of the DEWIS information resource, to ensure that high quality wellbeing information is available to citizens, staff and organisations across Caerphilly.
DEWIS is a website promoted under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act, which “places a duty on the local authorities to provide people with information and advice relating to care and support and assistance in accessing care and support”
The successful candidate will promote a network of social care, health and third sector organisations across the Caerphilly Borough to help citizens make choices and take control about things that matter to them. The post holder will also need to develop and maintain a positive working relationship within the Local Authority, local partners, other third sector organisations and the public to raise awareness of DEWIS Cymru and support organisations/services to publish their information on DEWIS and ensure information is up to date, accurate and maintained.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant NVQ level 3.
- Awareness of DEWIS website and its purpose in relation to the Social Services & Well-being Act 2014
- Experience of the use of the intranet and internet sites and updating website content.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
