About us
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the research and support charity. We’re the place to turn to for anything and everything to do with breast cancer. However you’re experiencing breast cancer, we’re here.
The brightest minds in breast cancer research are here. Making life-saving research happen in labs across the UK and Ireland. Support services, trustworthy breast cancer information and specialist nurses are here. Ready to support you whenever you need it. Dedicated campaigners are here. Fighting for the best possible treatment, services and care for anyone affected by breast cancer.
About the role
The purpose of the direct marketing officer role is to deliver the charity’s raffle and lottery activity. Working closely with the direct marketing manager, you’ll plan, manage and deliver a wide-range of campaigns, both acquisition and retention, across face-to-face, digital, direct mail, email, and telemarketing channels, driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.
With individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the upcoming years, this is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing fundraising team, generating upwards of £15 million per annum.
About you
You’ll already have some experience of working in a fundraising environment, ideally with experience of direct marketing, individual giving and gaming products. You’ll enjoy working as part of a busy and high performing team which works to demanding targets.
You enjoy the variety of working on campaigns across a range of channels and seeing the results of your work. As a well-organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be at ease liaising with key external suppliers and in-house teams across the charity to support the delivery of campaigns, while closely monitoring results and ensuring they are delivered to budget and targets.
You’ll be competent with windows-based software, and your close attention to detail will ensure accuracy with proof-reading, campaign reports, record keeping and invoice processing. You have a good understanding, or a willingness to learn about fundraising and gambling regulations that affect our gaming and fundraising activities.
