Direct Payment Support Worker – Help People Live Their Best Lives

Are you someone who’s kind, compassionate, and loves making a real difference? Do you enjoy supporting people to live independently, confidently, and happily? If you’re nodding along, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for a Direct Payment Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week). You’ll be out and about, supporting customers in their homes and communities—so a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

What your day might look like:

  • Start by providing personal care and support tailored to each customer’s care plan.
  • Help customers achieve their goals—whether that’s improving wellbeing, gaining independence, or simply enjoying their day.
  • Promote social activities and community engagement to boost confidence and connection.
  • Work closely with other teams and partner agencies to ensure safeguarding and welfare needs are met.

What makes this role special:

You’ll be helping people live life on their terms. Whether it’s supporting someone through a tough moment or celebrating a small win, your care and encouragement will mean the world to them.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that values your empathy, energy, and commitment to helping others flourish.

Could it be you?

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work 22.5 hours a week
  • Understands that everyone’s needs are unique—and responds with kindness and flexibility
  • Respects the individuality of every customer and celebrates diversity
  • Has knowledge of housing support needs and welfare benefits
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a car
  • Is happy to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

What you’ll get in return:

  • 25 days’ annual holiday (plus bank holidays) – pro rata
  • 2 paid volunteering days each year
  • Flexible benefits scheme including healthcare, dental, tech, vouchers, and more
  • Life assurance at 4x your salary
  • Up to 10% pension contribution
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Access to professional development and apprenticeship programmes

Please note: Peabody does not offer sponsorship for this role.
