- Job description
- Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.
- A high level of supervision to keep the young person safe.
- Attending/transporting the individual to social activities.
- Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.
- Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
- Be patient, caring and understanding.
- Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
- Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
- Have previous experience supporting an individual with additional needs.
- Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
- Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities.
Hours of work
6 hours per week.
About the recipient
The individual is female, 10 years old and resides in Bridlington.
They like colouring, cutting and sticking, playing with toys, going to the park, going shopping and people watching.
They don't like going to the beach, loud noises/music and not being able to see the person they are with, this can make them become upset.
