- Be conscientious and committed to providing support as necessary for the child.
- Be consistent and reliable with a friendly personality and able to easily form good working bonds with young people.
- Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
- Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
- Have previous experience supporting an individual with additional needs.
- Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
- Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities
Hours of work
4 hours per week during term time and 6 hours during the school holidays.
About the recipient
The individual is male, 7 years old and resides in Beverley. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having Autism.
The role will mainly consist of taking this young person out in the community. Mainly for activities this young person enjoys such as water parks, soft play and similar. The family have also requested support with taking this young person out to complete tasks such as shopping or to a café to help build up their experience and life skills in a safe manner.
