- Have previous experience supporting an individual with additional needs.
- Be flexible to accommodate the hours of work where necessary.
- Be a team player and able to work effectively alongside parent
About the recipient
The individual is a male, 4 years old and resides in Beverley. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having complex medical and physical needs, associated with his diagnosis, which have a profound impact on his communication and interaction, learning, sensory processing, motor development, and emotional regulation.
He loves Peppa Pig and watching Peppa on television although some characters and scenes he can find unsettling and he will let you know when he is upset. He also has a love of music and the sensory world around him and would like to have opportunities to visit the park, be out for walks using his equipment and experiencing sensory activities. Can become overstimulated in environments in the community and requires consistent care and reassurance to support him to regulate and to feel safe in the world around him. He is a happy, smiling little boy who loves to play and have sociable interactions with those who he has built trust with and enjoys predictable games and play.
Full training support will be given to successful candidate, for use of equipment and meeting feeding and care needs.
