An exciting Director opportunity for someone wanting to lead and shape a department.
Your new school
Lift Winton is a popular secondary school with fantastic facilities and a great reputation within the local community. With that said, we continue to be ambitious and want to become the best school in Hampshire. The school has recently appointed a new Principal, Myles Preston, who brings with him over ten years of experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Myles is passionate about the prospect of working with and leading a fantastic community of likeminded staff who understand the potential that an excellent education has in unlocking doors for young people and who are dedicated to joining a school on a rapid journey of improvement. If you are ambitious, energetic and have a 'get stuck in' attitude, this could be the role for you. We are in the process of building a vision and a set of values and want to hear from people who are excited about the prospect of working with us to ensure our school is a high performing school in terms of outcomes, but one which places community and care at the forefront of all that we do.
Lift Winton is part of Lift Schools, a large MAT made up of 59 schools who offer staff some of the best training and career opportunities with access to tailored development, including executive coaching, bespoke training from external agencies, networking days with guest speakers, access to NPQ courses and much more. As a school, we always look 'outwards' and are keen to work with individuals who seek to build networks with other professionals across our community and develop best practice for the development of our school.
It's an exciting time to join and be part of our journey, the school maintained a 'Good' grade in the latest visit by Ofsted in 2023. We pride ourselves on a culture of high support and high expectations, and we have excellent relationships with families and the community who work closely with us to ensure every child receives an excellent education.
