You will provide strategic leadership across your Directorate to a dynamic team driving growth, efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide clear direction and purpose in alignment with the Council’s strategic aims and ambitions. Lead, inspire, and motivate teams across the Directorate and Council-wide to deliver high-impact results.
- Corporate Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the development of corporate strategies and statutory goals, ensuring they reflect the needs and aspirations of our residents.
- Financial Oversight: Lead the budgeting process and determine resource allocation within your Directorate to ensure value for money. Monitor risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Service Delivery: Ensure effective planning, commissioning, and delivery of high-quality services. Drive performance improvement, uphold service standards, and challenge underperformance
