We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Private Sector Housing Grant Support Officer to join our esteemed Strategic Housing Service Team at Winchester City Council.
The role presents a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and has a strong sense of empathy with a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and safely in their homes.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing advice and guidance to residents applying for Disabled Facilities Grants.
- Supporting the Private Sector Housing Team in the delivery of an excellent service to residents.
- Supporting residents through the DFG application process.
- Promoting awareness of the DFG scheme within the community.
- Liaising with occupational therapists and other professionals.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple cases.
- Knowledge of the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants and the relevant legislation.
