We are looking for an experienced surveyor with a keen eye for diagnosing complex repairs and has a strong understanding of disrepair claims and housing regulations.

You will play a key role in ensuring effective repairs to disrepair claims across the borough. You will review expert reports, assess disrepair letters of claim, conduct pre-work surveys, and create job specifications for works carried out by our operatives and contractors.

In addition, you will support the team in expert Disrepair Surveyor services, along with:

Conducting inspections of council properties to diagnose and progress repair solutions.

Inspecting and managing disrepair claims

Developing specifications for complex repairs.

Liaising with contractors and overseeing pre/post work inspections and monitoring the delivery of repairs.

Assisting in identifying structural issues and contributing to reports.

Acting as an expert witness in legal cases involving disrepair claims.

To be competent in this role it is essential that you have a degree or higher qualification in a building discipline along with extensive experience managing disrepair cases and responsive maintenance repairs.

In addition, you will need to have full UK driving licence and be physically fit to conduct inspections, including accessing ladders and scaffolding.
