Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse?
We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator to lead vital safeguarding work across the Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood Community Safety Partnership. This shared role will champion the councils’ commitment to tackling Domestic Abuse, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), and wider safeguarding priorities — including Prevent, Slavery and Exploitation.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate domestic abuse strategies and ensure delivery of the councils’ policy objectives
- Support and maintain DAHA Accreditation across both districts
- Lead inter-agency training and case management audits
- Advise officers and elected members on legislation and safeguarding duties
- Work closely with statutory and voluntary partners to deliver targeted, impactful services
- Develop and implement realistic, achievable plans that protect and empower survivors
What you bring:
- Experience supporting adults and children affected by domestic abuse
- Strong partnership working across statutory and voluntary sectors
- In-depth knowledge of current government policies and safeguarding legislation
- A proactive, caring approach with the ability to turn strategy into action
