Contract Type: 15 hours per week, 3 hours per day

Are you passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a supportive environment? Join our friendly, dedicated team at Open Door, a vital Night Shelter service offering ensuite accommodation for 12 single homeless individuals in St Albans for up to 28 nights.
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the shelter remains a clean, safe, and welcoming space for our guests. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including cookers, sinks, and worktops
- Clean floors, skirting boards, doors, and internal windows
- Disinfect bathrooms, toilets, showers, and communal areas
- Dust, polish, vacuum, and empty bins in shared spaces
- Clean empty rooms and office areas as needed
- Monitor and request cleaning supplies under the direction of the Scheme/Operations Manager
- Perform laundry duties (e.g., washing towels, bedding, tea towels)
- Keep external areas tidy, including refuse zones and car parks
- Ensure COSHH safety data sheets and equipment usage are up to date and compliant
