We are recruiting Domestic Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 1 x 21 hours per week post / 1 x 12 hours per week post
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Ty Clyd Residential Home

Team: Provider Services


This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £14,073.41 (21 Hours per week) / £8,041.95 (12 Hours per week) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Ty Clyd Residential Home is looking for 2 Domestic Assistants to work either in the kitchens assisting the Cooks, or undertake laundry and/or cleaning duties.


Experience of working in a care environment and knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety Act and Health and Safety would be beneficial although not essential.


You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity, choice etc. adopt a person centred approach and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays.
