
Duty Operations Assistant
Your day as a Duty Operations Assistant could involve welcoming visitors to our community centres, conducting health and safety checks, or carrying out light cleaning and administrative tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our community spaces are vibrant, safe, and accessible, supporting a wide range of activities for local residents.
You will be responsible for front-of-house operations, greeting visitors with a friendly and helpful attitude. You’ll manage bookings, process invoices, and handle purchasing requests. Alongside these duties, you will also ensure the smooth running of our centres by conducting safety inspections, reporting repairs, and making sure spaces are well-maintained.
You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to ensure community events run smoothly, and you will handle all tasks with great attention to detail, including updating customer records and maintaining data protection standards.
Could it be you?
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment. You’re confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and can manage data accurately and efficiently. You have experience in customer service, administration and health & safety in the workplace and you’re comfortable communicating with a wide range of audiences.
You’re proactive, well-organised, and take pride in providing excellent customer service. Flexibility is important, as you’ll work split shifts and be available for some evening and weekend shifts.
If you have an understanding of Health and Safety and previous experience on keeping an environment clear from hazards this could be the job for you. Compassion, patience, and the ability to adapt to different situations are key qualities we’re looking for.
