About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of externally funded projects located in the Youth Justice Service. You will play a crucial role in supporting children and families. You will be required to carry out assessments and with children produce plans that will improve children’s outcomes. You will be required to deliver creative interventions to manage unmet need and work in conjunction with internal colleagues and partners to wrap support around a child.

Key responsibilities include:

• To hold a caseload of children and deliver trauma informed services in line with Child First Principles and appropriate case management practice.
• To identify, assess and deliver plans to address the contributing factors that lead to specific risks such as (but not limited to) child exploitation, substance misuse, emotional wellbeing and mental health concerns and domestic abuse and work with partners to reduce risk and impacts.
• To be ambitious for children and support them to access education by promoting their attendance and support children to develop aspirations.
• To support parents in addressing their needs to develop necessary skills, understanding and strategies to be part of the plan that improves the child’s safety and improves their outcomes
• To encourage children’s participation so that their voices are heard and their needs are understood
• To demonstrate innovation and develop trauma informed interventions to be delivered on a 1-1 basis or in groups.
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
