Early Years Class Teacher
Temporary Contract until 31 August 2027
Required to start 1 January 2027
The Governors of Tanfield Lea Community Primary School are keen to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Early Years teacher. This position is temporary for two terms, in the first instance, in accordance with the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
We are a busy, lively school, dedicated to developing each and every child. Applications are welcome from teachers with at least a year’s teaching experience (having completed their first year ECT or equivalent).
Applicants must hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios.
Visits to school are encouraged. We are offering two possible times to visit:
Monday 5 October at 4.00 pm or
Wednesday 7 October at 4.00 pm
Applications to be received by 9.00 am on Monday 12 October 2026.
Shortlisting will take place on Monday 12 October 2026 in the afternoon.
Interviews will be held during week commencing 19 October 2026.
