    Job introduction

    Are you a level 3 qualified early years practitioner/nursery assistant? Do you enjoy inspiring children?

    We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and lovely team at Jump Start Nursery in Moulsecoomb. Where we provide a high quality service for children aged 2 to 5 years.

    About the role

    At Jump Start we have a play based approach to learning in a fun, happy and calm atmosphere and so we provide children with lots of space to play and learn. We have a large garden space where children can climb, dig, ride bikes and explore nature.

    At the core of our service is our staff. We are proud of our diverse staff who are qualified or working towards a qualification, who share our passion for delivering a high standard of care to the children and provide exciting opportunities for the children to grow, learn and develop into confident young people. As an Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Assistant, you will be an integral part of the team.

    Some of your key tasks will be:

    • Being a key person for a group of children by building relationships and being an inspiration to them.
    • Supporting attachment building and ensuring the children feel safe.
    • Carrying out observations and assessing children to support their growth and development.

    If you are someone who has:

    • experience of working with young children in an early year’s environment.
    • experience of delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
    • experience of meeting the individual needs of young children and their families
    • a passion and commitment for providing high quality care and learning opportunities
    • a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early years and childcare, or level 2 willing to work towards a level 3.
    • inclusive and accessible communication skills.

    Additional information

    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

    Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
