Are you an experienced Economic Development professional looking for your next challenge. We are seeking to extend our team, committed to supporting the growth of the Amber Valley and providing opportunities for local people.

The role will support the delivery of key regeneration projects, engaging with a range of stakeholders and developing opportunities for economic growth.

The post holder will assist business to thrive by working closely with them, the East Midlands Combined Authority, and local partnerships to deliver support and recognise the potential to unlock significant investment and drive job creation.

The role will include project development, implementation and delivery of regeneration projects together with supporting existing business and New Start Ups; encouraging businesses to relocate to the area, expand and grow. A track record of providing advice to business, delivering projects and stimulating inward investment may be an advantage.

You will be educated to a senior level and have experience of working in an economic regeneration environment or similar. The ideal candidate will have experience and an understanding of project management, good organisational skills and be capable of working on your own initiative. You will be competent in the use of IT including MS Office, social media and managing web content.

The post includes occasional out of hours meetings including travel and some lone working situations.
