Thank you for your interest in our job vacancy. Please complete the application as fully as possible and explain any gaps in your employment history. We would like to understand more about how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the job description and person specification for the role.

Ancora House School is an outstanding provision based in Cheshire West and Chester. Our Headteacher and our Governors wish to recruit an outstanding Education Transitions Worker to join our dedicated and experienced team.

Ancora House School has two sites, one at Ancora House Mental Health Unit and the community provision at Castle Park, Frodsham. This post is based in Ancora House Community Site, Frodsham.

We offer an exciting and dynamic environment away from the constraints of a mainstream classroom; we encourage all staff to explore and develop their interests in order to enrich our young people’s experience with us; we operate within a culture of high warmth and high expectation.

The successful candidate will be able to adapt their skills flexibly and creatively to meet the needs of our learners with empathy and sensitivity. Trauma informed practice underpins the work of the school; person centred approaches and positive relationship building enables our learners to re-connect with their education and to make good progress despite their difficulties.

Our curriculum is built around individual needs, some learners will be accessing learning at a high level, whilst others will need activities to re-engage them with learning.

If you can bring skills, warmth and passion for learning, then we would love to see your application.

Visits to the school are welcomed, to arrange a time, please contact the Deputy Head Teacher, Carli Willis, carli.willis@ancora.cheshire.sch.uk

Thank you for your interest in this role and our school.

Amanda Lacey, Headteacher
