Grade 7

37 hours per week

Term time only

£30,060 to £33,366 (Pro Rata)

Actual Salary Range £25,936 to £29,440

We require, as soon as possible, a committed and enthusiastic Education Welfare and Attendance Officer to join this lively and high performing 11-18 Secondary School.

We are looking for an Education Welfare and Attendance Officer to promote, in conjunction with other key school staff, excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with students and families to promote high levels of attendance. The role will focus on improving and maintaining the attendance of our students across the school. The successful applicant will also organise and lead on TAFs.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • excellent communication skills, including high standards of written communication, grammar and spelling
  • excellent IT skills with a range of software (Abor/SIMS or similar school MIS)
  • ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • ability to work with tact, diplomacy and maintain confidentiality
