We are looking for a calm, confident and compassionate individual who can support children to develop emotionally and academically in a safe, positive and supportive way. The role may involve situations where physical contact or intervention is required, and you will be supported to develop the skills and confidence needed to respond appropriately.

You will also play an important role in supporting children to achieve the individual outcomes and objectives outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Relevant training will be provided, and you will be expected to engage positively with ongoing professional development to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the needs of the children and young people you support.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is able to work effectively with children to enable them to reach their full potential
  • is hardworking, has pride in their work, is keen to be part of a team
  • is willing to support individual children with specific needs, and undertake training and adapt their practice as required
  • is resilient and can find positives in all situations

We can offer you:

  • An ‘Outstanding’ school as judged by Ofsted
  • Children who love learning and want to achieve
  • A strong team who will support a new member of staff
  • A supportive wider community including the Governing Body
  • A stimulating environment with fantastic grounds and outdoor learning facilities
  • Free access to Kirklees Employee Healthcare

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. Please contact the school office on 01924 326802 to organise a visit. For more information about the school please go to our website.
