Electoral Services Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electoral Services Officer to join the Electoral Services Team at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council ahead of the May 2027 Local and Parish Elections.
As an Electoral Services Officer you will work alongside peers to play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of all electoral processes including the annual canvass of electors, day-to-day elector registration, absent vote renewals, polling district polling station reviews and all processes associated with running elections.
You must have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work under pressure from different sources as well as organising, prioritising and managing your own workload.
You must have excellent administrative skills and be confident in using Microsoft Office applications and other bespoke IT software. Previous experience of working within an electoral services environment is preferable but not essential for the role.
The requirements of the role mean that you will need to be highly adaptable with the ability to work flexibly. The successful candidate will be based at Redcar Civic Centre, Ridley Street, Redcar; with opportunities for hybrid working.
