About the role

EADS (Employment and Disability Service) are looking to recruit an Employment Development Officer. Supporting people with complex barriers to start, stay and succeed in work is our focus. We are looking for somebody who can bring creativity, energy, passion and skills. We are based across North Northamptonshire, supporting people from diverse backgrounds. The role will require travel across multiple sites, including being based with employers and within co-location bases. Flexibility, a positive approach to problem solving, organisation and being able to adapt to change will be valuable skills in this role. An understanding of the model and delivery of supported employment, the welfare system and accessible employment pathways will be hugely beneficial.

What will you be doing?

As part of our delivery we support people;

  • With complex barriers start, stay and succeed in work
  • Create person-centred vocational profiles
  • Prepare CVs and covering letters
  • Build confidence and stamina
  • Identify job goals and steps needed to achieve these
  • Gain experience
  • Engage with employers
  • Identify skills gaps and training resolves
