    Your new school
Lift Rawlett is part of Lift Schools, a MAT of 57 schools with 10 in the Midlands, which allows you access to the best training programmes available as well as more internal opportunities. Lift Rawlett is a secondary school led by a dedicated and ambitious Executive Principal, Jasmine Woodard. The school is on a transformational journey and Jasmine has a track record of successfully delivering this. Jasmine is now looking for ambitious staff to be part of this incredibly rewarding, yet challenging, journey and this is an opportunity for you to be part of that as we look to recruit an English teacher.

    Your new role
You'll be joining a passionate and ambitious English department where reading and language lie at the heart of the curriculum. Our team is committed to inspiring a love of literature while developing confident, articulate communicators who can think critically and express ideas with precision and purpose. With a carefully sequenced curriculum covering everything from Shakespeare to modern texts, you'll have the opportunity to shape students' experiences of English and make a lasting impact on their learning journey. This is an exciting chance to help lead the next phase of improvement in a department that values collaboration, creativity and academic rigour.

    What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record of delivering English lessons and a broad and balanced curriculum, facilitating a positive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. You will be able to design engaging lessons, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to raise standards of student attainment. Additionally, you will be able to collaborate with other teaching staff, pastoral staff and parents to support the personal development of students, addressing their individual needs and promoting inclusivity.

    We offer you:
CPD: Outstanding whole school CPD programme, including sessions with David Didau, Clare Sealy and Tom Bennett.
Training: Continuous growth and development training opportunities across 57 Lift Schools.
Generous benefits: From your LGPS to healthcare and financial support, we've got you covered.
Lifestyle perks: Enjoy discounted gym memberships, travel deals, and electric vehicle incentives.

The role is due to commence ASAP. This is initially a fixed term contract but we are hopeful it will be extended or made permanent.

If you would like to have a confidential discussion and/or arrange a tour of the school with Jasmine Woodward ahead of applying please contact us.

Please don't wait until the role closes; we will be looking at applications as they come in and arranging interviews ASAP.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
Lift Schools is committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our colleagues and volunteers to share this commitment.
