As an Enhanced Housing Management Officer at Peabody, you’ll use your knowledge of housing management and your passion for supporting vulnerable residents to help tenants maintain their independence and sustain their tenancies. You’ll play a hands‑on role in ensuring our schemes are safe, welcoming, and well‑managed while building strong relationships with tenants and partner agencies.

No two days are the same. One morning you might be welcoming new tenants, completing building safety checks, or reporting repairs. Later, you could be meeting with mental health professionals, responding to welfare concerns, or completing risk assessments. Throughout the day, you’ll be engaging with tenants, problem‑solving, and making sure they have the information and environment they need to live well.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be responsible for delivering an enhanced housing management service to a designated group of tenants with a mental health diagnosis. This includes managing a scheme, lone working, carrying out regular health and safety checks, responding to concerns, completing annual risk assessments, assisting with maximising welfare benefits, monitoring contractors, assisting tenants to understand their tenancy responsibilities, maximise their welfare benefits and work with internal and external partners to promote safety, wellbeing, and tenancy sustainment.

What You’ll Need

  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience providing support or enhanced housing management to vulnerable people (professional or voluntary)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
  • Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits, and safeguarding best practice
  • Understanding of health and safety responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexibly, manage your own workload, and keep accurate records
  • Good IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and database systems
  • A can‑do, approachable attitude and a genuine desire to help people live independently

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.

This is a part‑time role working 22.5 hours per week across three days. The preferred days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but the hiring manager has some flexibility.
FTE Salary: £27,176 per annum
