The Vacancy
We’re recruiting for an EstatesHealth and Safety Support Officer to join us initially on a 12-month fixed-term contract and play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Cafcass employees and visitors to our 30+ offices across England.
What you’ll be doing….
If you join us you will be responsible for providing direct advice and support to managers and staff across Cafcass and supporting key projects by working closely with the Business Support teams National Estates Manager and National Health, Safety and Security Manager.
Job description
This will include:
- Managing all helpdesk calls and allocating service issues to relevant member of the team.
- Dealing with all first line calls and answering queries and where necessary referring complex matters to relevant colleagues.
- Ensure all calls to the Help Desk are received, recorded, acted on and followed through to completion in a concise and accurate manner.
- Work with the National Estates Manager and the team with the development and implementation of the estate strategy.
- Act as first point of contact to advise local managers and Cafcass personnel of all Estates and Health and Safety risk issues and assist them regarding a resolution, escalating key issues appropriately.
- Maintain lease and other estates records to ensure all records are accurate and easily accessible for the team, archiving historic documentation where required.
- Responsible for the processing of all estate's invoices.
- Maintain ePIMS (Electronic Property Information Mapping Service) records to ensure that data is accurate at all times.

We are seeking who has:
- An IOSH certificate, or relevant experience, or willingness to work towards.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communication skills.
- Confident using standard IT systems and software as well as specialist applications (training will be given).
- An interest in pursuing a career in this field.
