
Event Support Assistant
About the role
Lincoln Castle is an award-winning visitor attraction and we are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to support the delivery of our exciting public events and private hire programme as our Event Support Assistant.
Working closely with the Events Officer, you’ll help deliver a varied and dynamic programme of events that enhances the visitor experience and showcases the Castle as a unique venue. You’ll assist with the administrative coordination of events, including monitoring an email inbox, responding to enquiries from potential hirers, and supporting with event documentation and planning processes.
You’ll also play an important role in the on-site delivery of events, ensuring activities run smoothly and that clients, performers, and visitors receive a professional and welcoming experience. Acting as a key holder, you will help maintain the security and operational readiness of the site during events.
This is a hands-on and varied role that requires flexibility, as your working week will include evenings and weekends as part of the standard working pattern.
This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent.

About you
You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. With strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail, you’ll be comfortable managing enquiries and supporting multiple tasks at once. You’ll also be a team player with a positive attitude, and you’ll be ready to support the successful delivery of a diverse events programme.
Above all else, you’ll be committed to helping create memorable experiences at Lincoln Castle, ensuring every event reflects the quality and reputation of this truly unique historic venue.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.
Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.

Salary range
- £25,989 - £27,254 per year
