You’ll lead a modern, inclusive directorate spanning adult social care, public health and integrated commissioning, and build strong partnerships across the NHS, the voluntary and community sector and wider public services. You’ll develop operational capability, grow a confident workforce, and embed rigorous performance and financial management to achieve equitable outcomes.
What’s in it for you?
Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:
- Generous holiday allowance
- Local Government Pension scheme
- Flexible working and family friendly policies
- Season ticket and bicycle loans
- A range of staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships
- Supportive staff networks
What we’re looking for
You’re an experienced systems leader with deep knowledge of adult social care. You bring clarity of purpose, political acumen, and the confidence to advise Members, influence partners and inspire teams. You have a strong track record of budget management, service transformation and partnership commissioning, and a commitment to equality, diversity and anti-racist practice.
Most importantly, you’re driven to secure excellent outcomes for adults and carers from prevention and early help to high quality support for those with complex needs.
