We have an exciting opportunity to join our People & Culture team as an Executive Support Assistant. What will your day look like?
- Proactively managing diaries and emails, ensuring our Assistant Directors’ time is used effectively.
- Acting as the first point of contact—handling sensitive correspondence and calls with professionalism and discretion.
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and following up on actions.
- Supporting a wide range of stakeholders, including elected members, with tact and diplomacy.
- Managing finance tasks, compliance checks, and arranging travel or events as needed.
- Using your initiative to flag deadlines, monitor tasks, and ensure nothing is missed.
- Adapting to new challenges and working practices as our organisation evolves.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference behind the scenes. You’ll have:
- Experience supporting senior managers, ideally in a large or public sector organisation.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office and business support systems.
- The ability to analyse information, solve problems, and provide clear advice.
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential matters.
- A commitment to your own professional development.
Why join us?
You’ll be part of a supportive team, working at the heart of North East Lincolnshire Council’s leadership. We offer a detailed induction, ongoing training, and opportunities to develop your skills. Some out-of-hours work may be required for evening meetings, but you’ll be empowered to manage your own time and priorities.
If you’re ready to play a key role in supporting our leaders and making a real impact for our community, we’d love to hear from you!
